LPS Logic

Genre: Mystery
Rated: PG-13 for mature and distressing themes, occasional blood and violence.

Description: A girl, a gun and everyone caught up in the aftermath.  Death is a complex thing - its prisoners are not taken in a logical manner, nor a fair one. Lisa Parks is a logical person. When she finds her older sister lifeless with a gun by her hand, there are many puzzle pieces that don't quite fit. She doesn't believe Annabel's death was a suicide, but to prove it, she needs to discover a few things she never knew about her sister, reach out to people she'd normally severe ties with, and try not to notice the deafening silence left in her sister's place. How far will Lisa go to prove that she's right, even when everything around her is screaming out that she's wrong?

Main Characters

Lisa Parks – an introverted, intelligent seventeen-year-old girl from Edgeborough, England. She is the younger sister and polar opposite of Annabel Parks. She attends Edgeborough Grammar School along with Kaitlyn, Tash, Ellie and Lewis.

Annabel Parks - Lisa's older sister. She died aged eighteen by alleged suicide. She was very popular with many friends and a boyfriend.

Willow Yu - a sarcastic Taiwanese girl who was best friends with Annabel and Lisa when they were younger as a result of their parents being good friends. She lost touch with Annabel and Lisa during secondary school, and moved to Edgeborough Sixth Form College along with Alice, but after Annabel's death tries to reconnect with Lisa.

Kaitlyn Foster - a sweet, popular Jamaican girl, who was Annabel's best friend and is the girlfriend of Lewis. She has an outgoing personality and always wants to please people, which could be a contributing factor to her anxiety disorder.

Supporting Characters

Alice Jennings - Willow's best friend and Tristan's girlfriend. She is a quirky character with a flighty, skittish personality. She has been known to go through many 'phases' in the past. She attends Edgeborough Sixth Form College.

Jace Evans - an eighteen-year-old boy who has left school and works in the Bean Barn with Lisa. He was also flirting with Annabel before she died, which comes as a shock to Lisa.

Zaartasha (Tash) Durani - a blunt, intelligent Pakistani girl who is friends with Kaitlyn and Ellie, as well as Annabel before she died. She is possibly the most level-headed out of the group.

Ellie Martin - Kaitlyn, Tash and Annabel's friend. She doesn't take herself too seriously and classes herself as the 'fun one' in their group. She may appear insensitive to Annabel's death, but humour and acting as if everything is normal is her coping mechanism.

Bridget Parks - Annabel and Lisa's mother. She is very outspoken and doesn't always see eye to eye with her daughters or husband, but undisputedly cares for them. She develops depression after Annabel dies.

Jonathan Parks - Annabel and Lisa's father, and Bridget's husband. He is very caring yet rational, and knows better than to argue with Bridget.

Tristan Wild - Alice's boyfriend. She is yet to introduce him to any of her friends out of fear of judgement or them not approving of him.

Catherine Stewart - The headmistress of Edgeborough Grammar School.
